Gel coat color and lighting study

This is an update to my previous metal flake material study. I was trying to get accurate colors to represent a variety of colors, both metallic and non, used on high end wakeboard boats. Since different colors absorb and reflect light differently, it was tricky building a master light setup that maintained consistent color representation across the board. To help show the material on curved surfaces, I modeled a "Speed Shape" which is used in the automotive industry to test paints. Overall myself and the client was happy the end product!
